Workplace injuries and illnesses can have a devastating impact on any organization. Not only are workers and their families impacted by a significant injury or illness, but companies have to spend a lot of money on paying workers' compensation premiums.
In addition, a significant workplace injury or illness can open up an organization to increased scrutiny by OSHA leading to monetary fines and workplace citations being issued. If a workplace fatality occurs, in addition to OSHA fines, employees can have criminal charges filed and end up in jail.
The best way to prevent injuries and illnesses from occurring is to establish the goal of developing a world-class safety culture. In a world-class safety culture, the workplace goes from a reactive mode of safety to a positive and proactive mode of safety. Accidents are targeted before they happen and employees at all levels of the organization are collectively engaged in best-in-class safety-related practices.
This webinar will give easy step-by-step instructions on how to develop a world-class safety culture. Safety best practices will be discussed as well as the OSHA Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) – the highest award in health and safety excellence that OSHA presents to an organization.
A world-class safety culture goes beyond merely adhering to regulatory requirements; it encompasses a comprehensive safety approach ingrained in every aspect of an organization's operations and mindset. Developing such a culture requires commitment, continuous improvement, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
